Is frozen prawn good for fishing?

Yes, frozen prawn catches many sea and estuary fish, especially if it was frozen fresh and thawed slowly. It is softer than fresh prawn, so hook it carefully or tie it on with bait thread.

Why should I salt my bait?

Salting draws water out of baits such as squid, fish strips and prawns, making them tougher so they stay on the hook longer and survive casting. It also lets you store bait for longer without a freezer.

What is the best bait for pond fish?

Atta dough, earthworms and boiled rice or corn are reliable for rohu, catla, common carp and tilapia. A little groundbait thrown in first helps draw fish to your hook.

How do I keep live prawns alive?

Keep them in a bucket of water from the place you caught or bought them, out of the sun, with an aerator or regular water changes. Avoid overcrowding and never let the water get hot.
