What is the best lure for beginners in India?

A metal spoon or a small metal jig is the easiest start. They cast far, are hard to fish wrongly and catch many species in fresh and salt water. Add a few soft plastics and a floating minnow once you are comfortable.

What line should I use for lure fishing?

Braided line (PE) around PE 1 to PE 2 on a spinning reel is popular because it casts well and lets you feel the lure. Add a nylon or fluorocarbon leader of about 1 to 2 metres to handle teeth, rocks and abrasion.

Which lures catch murrel (snakehead)?

Weedless frogs and other topwater lures worked over and around weed and lily pads are classic murrel lures. Weedless soft plastics and spinnerbaits also work.

Why am I not catching fish on lures?

The most common reasons are fishing empty water, retrieving too fast or too slow for the conditions, fishing at the wrong depth and giving up too soon. Change one thing at a time and keep moving until you find fish.
