A moderately large pelagic jack family fish with a distinctive torpedo-shaped body and finlets, found in tropical Indo-Pacific waters. Indian anglers target it for its strong fighting ability and food value in coastal and offshore waters. It is also known as வேகமான் மீன், तारपीडो स्कैड, టార్పెడో స్కాడ్ and ടോർപിഡോ സ്കാഡ്. Scientific name: Megalaspis cordyla.
