Who can sell on Fishing Journey?
Fishing guides, boat and charter operators, pond and lake owners, kayak rentals, fish market sellers, bait and tackle shops, event organisers and angling clubs in India. You need a valid ID and the documents your business type requires.
Does it cost anything to join?
There is no monthly fee required to start selling. We take a commission only on completed sales. The current commission rates and any one-time registration fee are shown live in the Pricing section of this page.
Which documents do I need?
Every business needs an ID proof and a photo of the shop, boat, pond or office. Boats and kayaks add vessel registration and a life-jacket photo, guides and ponds a licence or permit, and fish, bait and pond sellers an FSSAI licence. A GST certificate is needed only if you are GST-registered.
How long does verification take?
We usually review new businesses within 2 working days. You can prepare your listings while you wait, and you get a notification as soon as you are approved.
When and how do I get paid?
Customers pay in the app. After a trip or order is completed, your earnings minus commission and gateway charges move to your vendor wallet, and payouts go to your verified UPI ID or bank account on the payout cycle shown above.
Can your team set up my listing for me?
Yes. Request a callback and someone from our vendor team will call or WhatsApp you to help write your listing, choose photos, set prices and prepare your documents. It is free, and nothing is published without your OK.
Do I need GST registration?
No. If you are GST-registered, add your GSTIN and certificate so customers get proper tax invoices. If you are not registered, you can still sell.
I sell fresh fish or bait — do I need FSSAI?
Yes. Selling food, including fresh fish and bait, needs an FSSAI registration or licence. Charters that sell their own catch need it too. Add the number and upload the certificate during setup.
Can I run more than one kind of business?
Yes. Choose every type that applies — for example a charter that also sells its catch and runs tournaments. Each type unlocks its own tools in one vendor panel.
Will customers see my phone number?
Only after a confirmed booking or paid order. Before that, customers ask questions through in-app enquiries, so you are not flooded with calls.
