Fishing Journey
SETUP GUIDE

Set up your fishing business

Eight steps from sign-up to your first booking. Keep this page open while you work through the vendor panel — or ask our team to help.
In this guide
1. Create your account and business profile
2. Prepare your documents
3. Add great photos
4. Write a listing that sells
5. Set your prices and dates
6. Put safety first
7. Set up payouts
8. Launch and promote
1

Create your account and business profile

Sign up, then open Create business. Choose every business type that applies — it decides which documents we ask for and which tools you get.
Use the business name customers already know you by.
Add your opening hours and the areas you serve.
Your progress is saved — you can stop and continue any time.
2

Prepare your documents

Verification keeps fake listings off the platform. Here is what each business type needs:
Every business: ID proof, Shop photo, plus the GST certificate if you are GST-registered.

Charter / boat

Vessel registration · Life jackets photo
Also: FSSAI certificate if you sell your catch; Insurance recommended.

Nothing extra — the documents for every business are enough.

Event organiser

Nothing extra — the documents for every business are enough.

Angling club

Nothing extra — the documents for every business are enough.
Take clear, well-lit photos of the whole document, with every corner visible.
Check expiry dates — expired documents are rejected.
The name on your documents should match your business or owner name.
Never upload a full Aadhaar number; a masked copy is enough for ID.
3

Add great photos

Photos decide most bookings. Use real photos of your boat, pond, shop and catches — not stock images.
Cover photo: wide, bright and taken in daylight.
Show the safety gear, the seating and the view customers will get.
Add 6–10 gallery photos: the team, happy anglers, the catch.
Keep a square logo for your profile and storefront.
4

Write a listing that sells

Tell anglers exactly what they get. A complete listing answers questions before they are asked.
Title: what + where + how long, e.g. “Half-day sea fishing trip off Kovalam (5 hours)”.
List what is included: rods, bait, life jackets, snacks, cleaning of the catch.
Say which species and seasons to expect, the group size and what to bring.
The AI helper can draft the text — always check it before publishing.
5

Set your prices and dates

Price per person or per boat, add deposits and add-ons, and open dates in your calendar.
Compare similar trips nearby and keep your first price competitive to win early reviews.
A deposit reduces no-shows; the balance can be paid on the day.
Block days you cannot take bookings so customers never get a cancellation.
6

Put safety first

Safe trips earn better reviews. Make your safety standards visible in every listing.
Life jackets for everyone on board, in the right sizes, including children.
Check the weather before every trip and reschedule when it is unsafe.
Brief customers before you start: rules, emergency contacts, what to do.
Respect ban seasons and protected species — they are flagged in the app.
7

Set up payouts

Add your UPI ID or bank account and PAN so we can verify them before your first payout.
Use an account in your own or your business name.
Your statement shows every booking, fee and refund line by line.
Payouts are paid on the cycle shown on the Sell page, after the trip or order is completed.
8

Launch and promote

Go live, then bring your first customers in and turn them into regulars.
Share your storefront link on WhatsApp, Instagram and Google Business.
Offer a launch coupon to your existing customers.
Ask happy customers for a review after the trip — reviews raise your ranking.
Try an optional boost for busy weekends; it is always labelled as sponsored.
